Suzanne Boulware Cole, Attorney, is a co-founder of Legal Village Hub, LLC, working for charities across South Carolina. Suzy represents nonprofits in all phases of the life cycle, from launching new organizations and applying for tax-exempt status to advising established nonprofits on bylaws, corporate governance, and other legal compliance matters. Suzy also offers training for nonprofit Boards of Directors to help them effectively serve the organizations they love.
Suzy received her undergraduate degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina in 2001 and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004. She spent ten years as a litigator with Collins and Lacy, P.C. before becoming Executive Director of Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties, Inc. Suzy’s six years as an Executive Director helped her understand the unique legal issues facing nonprofits as well as the challenges of accessing tailored legal services.
Suzy chairs the University of South Carolina Upstate Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the board of the Pine Street School Foundation. She and her husband Derham have two children—Derham, III and Susannah. The Coles are active members of First Presbyterian Church where Suzy teaches youth Sunday School and leads a Cub Scout den. Suzy loves to tap dance and finds any excuse to perform on stage.
